Kitchen rug - practical advice

The kitchen is undoubtedly a unique interior in every home. It's where the family spends the most time preparing and eating meals together. It's also a place where dirt is easy to get- after all, everyone drops something while cooking.

To make it easier to keep the kitchen clean and to protect the parquet or tiles, it's worth using a rug that with its properties and structure will be comfortable, easy to clean and will delight with its appearance.

Which rug for the kitchen should I choose?

Size, colour and pattern are very individual matters. Depending on the room, its character and personal preferences, you can choose solid, patterned, subdued colours or multi-coloured rugs.

The look of a room can be transformed with colours and patterns. So if you want to bring warmth to your kitchen, choose a beige, brown, cream or ecru rug. If the furniture and walls are in subdued colours you can consider a rug with bold patterns, geometric or typical kitchen prints will work best.

The most important thing is to select the appropriate production technology. Years of experience allow us to say that for the kitchen a SIZAL rug with a loop pile or washable rug is a smart choice.

SIZAL rugs are unique products. They were produced by the "flat" weaving method. This means that the fleece is not cut like in a traditional rug, but is folded inwards, creating loops all over the surface. Thanks to this no dirt or dust gets into the fleece, and regular vacuuming is enough to clean it. For larger or wet stains, use a damp cloth. Interestingly, SIZAL rugs can also be used outdoors. Ideally suited to complement the arrangement of a terrace or balcony, because they are fully resistant to weather conditions and UV rays.

Washable rugs are also great as kitchen decorations. These products are extremely easy to keep clean. In case of any dirt, it's enough to gently fold the rug, put it in the washing machine and wash it at a temperature no higher than 30 ° C.

What material should a kitchen rug be made of?

Synthetic fibers are undoubtedly the most resistant to abrasion, kneading and cleaning. Polypropylene and polyester are the best materials for the kitchen. Vacuuming is enough to clean them, and in the case of larger stains - a wet cloth will do the job.

It's also worth choosing a rug with a gummed, non-slip bottom, or consider buying a non-slip mat. This will significantly increase the level of safety and prevent the rug from sliding over wet or slippery tiles.
